Hiring Our Heroes and Uber Launch Partnership to Help Meet Goal in Next 18 Months
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program announced today a partnership with Uber that will help the company bring 50,000 veterans, service members, and military spouses onto the Uber platform as partner drivers over the next 18 months.

As with the first Friday of every month, the BLS employment statistics were released today. National unemployment remained virtually unchanged, from 6.2% to 6.1% while the Veteran unemployment numbers went from 6.0% to 5.6%.

The U.S. Department of State has launched the Veterans Innovation Partnership (VIP), a new public-private alliance platform aimed at serving America’s Veterans and separating Servicemembers by preparing them for diplomacy and development careers, providing education and employment resources and expertise while enhancing America’s global leadership.
