Project Manager-BH Fleet Management

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses. Sikorsky helicopters are used by all five branches of the United States armed forces, along with military services and commercial operators in more than 40 nations. Based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA, Sikorsky has outlying facilities in other Connecticut locations as well as in Florida and Alabama.

Perform project management leadership activities to support BLACK HAWK Fleet Management Programs. Responsible for delivering the product to the customer in accordance with cost, schedule, quality and technical performance requirements as agreed to by contract. Act as primary interface between the customer and Sikorsky Aircraft. Negotiate contracts, manage subcontractors and act as the primary interface between Sikorsky Aircraft and project suppliers.

Additional Responsibilities include: Approve all project requirements, work statements, schedules and risk management plans. Develop, review and approve project metrics, primarily EVMS, to track project health and provide visibility to the Program and executive management. Coordinate project reviews, oversight activities initiated by the customer, and other efforts required to maintain project support. Reports to the BLACK HAWK Program Manager, and has complete P&L responsibility for his/her project in support of the overall Product business plan. Work with the Business Acquisition Manager, interface with logistics through ILS organization, and the customer to finalize the configuration, write and edit proposals for BLACK HAWK Fleet Management development programs. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Undergraduate Engineering Degree, MBA/MS preferred
• Bachelors & 10+ years experience
• Masters & 7+ years experience Experience in Program Engineering Management and Program Management.
• Knowledge of Government budgeting process.
• Seeking highly motivated, flexible individual with ability to serve customer needs.
• Domestic travel required.
• Good communication and presentation skills are required.
