Rose Hills Seeking Organizations to Participate in Veterans Resource Fair March 24, 2012

Rose Hills Memorial Park & MortuariesBooths are available for non-profit organizations and businesses offering services specifically designed to support veterans

WHITTIER, CALIF., NOVEMBER 1, 2011 -- Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary today issued a call for participation for its Veterans Resource Fair, to be held March 24, 2012.  The one-day event is designed to provide information, support, and services to veterans in a single, convenient location. The Veterans Resource Fair will be held in conjunction with the return of the Dignity® Memorial Vietnam Wall, a traveling ¾ scale replica of the original Wall in Washington, D.C.

Participants are being sought who provide services including individual and family counseling, education and training, employment assistance, financial matters, government programs, healthcare, legal and business matters, and housing, among others.  The nominal cost of participation covers the cost of a 10’ x 10’ booth, a canopy, a table and two chairs.  Non-profit discounts are available.

“We are honored to take the lead in providing a central location for veterans to come and gain information on essential programs, counseling, and support, as we host the return of the Vietnam Wall to Rose Hills,” said Bruce Lazenby, executive director of business development, Rose Hills.  “By bringing organizations and veterans together in one location, we hope to expand the breadth of services veterans can access and utilize.” Organizations wishing more information or to participate should contact Bonnie Quintanilla, 818.681.5777 or Phyllis Grabot, 805.341.7269, or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary

Founded in 1914, Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary, #FD970, has since grown to be the largest memorial park in the world. It is a full-service memorial facility with a modern mortuary, flower shop, reception center, and premiere cemetery property to serve the community in both pre-need and at-need situations. It serves 10,000 families a year.  Rose Hills is located in Whittier, California, with approximately 1,400 acres of property for current use or future development and is considered to be the largest single-operated cemetery in the world.  Although it is purposely secluded, Rose Hills is only minutes away from any point in the Greater Los Angeles or Orange County area, and offers a full range of funeral services to meet the memorialization needs of Southern California families.  For information, visit
